That’s me with a few friends from a workshop weekend hosted by Uniting Journeys. It’s where I first got together with the team that formed the The Mad Cow Project.
The project is all about using travel and conversation to facilitate opportunities to develop new ways of driving economic growth in developing communities. It leverages a lack of opportunity for economists and other young professionals to do pro bono work and connects them with developing communities. It is NOT about “we know best and we’re here to show you how” or “we’re here to build you a new school you may not want”. It is about we’re hear to listen, look, learn and work with you.
Check out the page if you are interested in economic development, human-centered design or about what we are doing.
That is me and my mate Derm at the 2014 Malaysian GP.
Back when we were grad students in Singapore we started a meet up group called Let’s Go Out. We hoped by organising outings, movie screenings and talks we could encourage a greater appreciation of nature. We’ve since left Singapore and gone home but the group lives on. We continue to promote nature by sharing our pictures as we get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
If you want to check out some pretty amazing pictures of our world (or our travel pics) please have a look at Let’s Go Out Pics.
